Sounds great, I may have to try it!
Well, it’s a Water-Water Sun-Moon blend coming up for Summer Solstice 2011 and further natural disasters cannot be ruled out and may definitely include more water-related concerns.
Click above to visit Stars Over Washington where I’ve just published the Summer Solstice 2011 Horoscope with its Political Astrology details. The chart shown is set for the White House; it’s an Hour of Jupiter, posited in 8th house of Shared Resources, Credit, Debt, and Transformation which points to our nation’s current deficit, debt limit, and budgetary issues as they continue into Summer 2011.
More details are included in the post.
A Water-Water combo may easily go misty with emotion and dissolve into tears (reminds me of John Boehner!) and is sentimental and nostalgic about the past. In Politics (which SO’W is all about), it indicates the wetness of compassion rather than the dry doctrinal purity we’re seeing in Washington from the Ayn Rand acolytes such as Paul Ryan and Eric Cantor (and Alan Greenspan, one of the primary architects of our financial misery.)
Water-Water blends also describe those of a ‘wet blanket’ temperament and I, for one, would prefer to see compassion for those in need finally take precedence in Washington over the cold-hearted ones now touting an increase of austerity for the poor and middle class while the rich get an easier ride than ever. Toss the wet blanket over the Ayn Rand-ers, I say! And yet you may disagree if you wish.
Summer Days, Watery Ways
Summer 2011 begins with Sun Cancer-Moon Pisces which is an interesting combo of energies having Moon/Jupiter and Moon/Neptune implications (for me, Pisces is ruled by Jupiter and backed by the higher octave influence of Neptune which adds to inflationary concerns.)
Yet this is an affable, kind-hearted, sensitive, romantic, and whimsical blend but with a tendency to ‘blow with the wind’ a little more than we may wish during these trying days. Yet it contains an uncanny (Cancer) insight into other people and a capacity for speaking encouraging words to those who need them.
The Arts may be on display more than usual this summer, plus, issues of adaptability and diplomacy take center stage. Negatively, there may be suspicion of other people’s motives, a wallowing in self-doubt, and a proneness toward putting people on pedestals (such as Ayn Rand?)
Relating successfully to others may be difficult due to a fear of being hurt or fooled, and daydreaming will be prevalent (most effectively channeled into art or music projects, and/or social services.)
The Sun Cancer-Moon Pisces blend’s “Images for Integration: An artist teaches recuperating patients to paint the images of their dreams in soft water colours…A lone sailboat offshore at sunset…Ol’ man river, he just keeps rolling along’…The musicals of Rodgers and Hammerstein.”
(Sun Sign-Moon Sign, Charles and Suzi Harvey.)
The Sun Cancer-Moon Pisces combination appears in the natal chart of author Herman Hesse who instructively said, “If you hate a person, you hate something in him that is part of yourself. What isn’t part of ourselves doesn’t disturb us.”
Now isn’t that a perfect reminder for us all – politicians and partisans definitely included – as Campaign 2012 heats up our Summer of 2011?
Calling all fiberistas and knitters! My daughter Maya’s new hand-dyed yarn Blackcurrant Jam is marvelous even sans biscuits or toast! And it’s calorie-free.

Well, I’ve seen it as can you, and all astrologers – especially those of the Mundane Astrology persuasion – are pleased I know that ‘presidential candidate’ and mogul-tycoon Donald Trump’s time of birth may be clearly seen listed on the form and viewable well in time for the 2012 campaign madness.
Trump was born in NYC on June 14, 1946 at…ah, now, you don’t want me to spoil the surprise, do you? ;p
UPDATE 4.19.11: while watching Thom Hartmann‘s broadcast on TV today the topic of Donald Trump’s birth certificate came up. In doing so, mention was made of something I had totally forgotten though now I remember hearing about it a lot back-in-the-day of Trump’s marriages, divorces, acquisitions, and bankruptcies when he was always in the news: that he was born in South Africa.
Now that isn’t what you’ll see on his BC linked above for it says ‘Queens NY’ so either someone was deceptive then (on many occasions) – or shenanigans are afoot.
As you know, if born in South Africa, Donald Trump cannot be US president in 2012 or in any other year in spite of his jumping on the ‘birther’ bandwagon against President Obama. So…maybe he can run for president of South Africa?
“Little force is needed to control a man whose mind has been hoodwinked; contrariwise, no amount of force can control a free man, a man whose mind is free. No, not the rack, not fission bombs, not anything – you can’t conquer a free man; the most you can do is kill him.” – Robert A. Heinlein, If This Goes On, 1940
And here is a truism from Adlai E. Stevenson made current again by the partnership between lousy politics and uppercrust greedsters: “A hungry man is not a free man”.
Oh, and here’s another thought from Mr. Heinlein which I can’t resist posting since in the US our esteemed IRS awaits our funds (due on Monday April 18 this year, not April 15): “Taxes are not levied for the benefit of the taxed.”
Plus, if you haven’t before you may be interested in visiting the website of the Heinlein Society.
First quote above compliments of the excellent Information Clearing House Newsletter – maybe you should sign up for yours! It would behoove you rather than depending for news on the echoing chorus of mainstream media that indoctrinates us daily, over and over and over.
Having just published a column on the Civil War, I thought you might be interested on this, the 150th anniversary, of its outbreak. The war’s midpoint pictures and information on Hidden Hands behind the war are included.
One astrological placement I neglected to add to the above post is that of the Moon which was at 15Tau36 in 2nd house. The horoscope used is set for Charleston, SC at 4:30 am LMT (first shot fired) on April 12, 1861 with military sign Pisces rising.
’15Tau’ is the Oxen Point of the Zodiac so I must mention the beastliness of what our men and women physically suffered through death, disease, deprivation, and the general misery of war as brother fought against brother, cousin v cousin.
Let’s take a peek at the war’s Sun-Moon combination for a few hints on the atmosphere of the day and thus of the war itself with the Sun in Mars-ruled Aries; this is a Fire-Earth blend that denotes ‘scorched earth’ – the policy used most effectively here in Georgia by Gen. Sherman’s March to the Sea.
Sun Ari-Moon Tau energies are intuitive yet pragmatic, diplomatic yet tactless, and energetic, ambitious, and confident. It knows how to get things done, is a blend of conservativism with radicalism, and it hates hypocrisy. (Though human nature means that one’s own hypocrisy is often given a pass.)
This is an entrepreneurial combo, a player of stock markets (Taurus the Bull), and a merchant adventurer with a natural understanding of finances. (Click above link to read of the war’s international financiers!)
This blend seems to wind up ‘running the show’ (or the war?) and is deeply possessive; it uses a mailed-fist-in-velvet-glove approach.
“Images for Integration: An explorer practices the violin in a jungle clearing…Having won an arduous race, the champion sits down to a gourmet meal.” (Sun Sign-Moon Sign. Charles & Suzi Harvey.)
The Sun Ari-Moon Tau blend is shared natally by author Washington Irving (1783 – 1859) who famously admonished us that, “A tart temper never mellows with age, and a sharp tongue is the only edged tool that grows keener with constant use.”
Point taken! And yet it seems in 2011 that the weapons of war are kept sharp for constant use by war profiteers and their handmaidens at the Pentagon and in the US Congress.
