Fractured Girl is a page from my Sketchbook Project 2012 book of pencil drawings. She has something of a Saturn-Uranus flavor, yes?
If you’re over 17, you may view a variety of archetypal images and sexy-fun art at Cosmic Persona Designs, a collection of colored pencil portraits by yours truly. Just click through Blogger’s ‘adult content warning’ and it won’t hurt at all, promise!

One of Art Gallery blogs Cosmic Lilith Art displays images of glamorous ladies (hence the ‘Lilith’) plus, Art SlideShows—all together a no-strings-attached bargain for mature viewers who’d like an eye-relaxing break as only Art can provide for tired brains.
Now it doesn’t have to be my Art you take a break with, of course, but you know you’re cordially invited to drop by 24/7 as you may. There you’ll also find a link to my Zazzle Art Shop but please don’t let that dissuade you from having a chillaxing art browse, okay?
Having just been bowled over by the 6-photo slideshow of Seville, Spain’s new Metropol Parasol, I want to be certain you’ve snagged a peek at the new and creative architectural marvel, if you haven’t.
Since its completion in April 2011, we now know where to find the ‘world’s largest wooden urban structure’ and it is a show-stopping beauty of a sculptured building of cross-hatched wood over steel in the most graceful of forms. And the Parasol has practical uses for city dwellers and tourists of Seville as Uranian genius pours into Saturnian form!
Plato’s Ideal? Seems very close to me but really you should decide for yourself.
Experientially, it looks like walking underneath a giant wooden mushroom! (As if I actually know what such a thing would look like. Well, now I do.)
And please don’t be dissuaded from taking a peek at the photos by the fact that ‘parasol’, ‘rain’, and ‘rain man’ are related symbols of the sort of largess that tends to come with too many strings attached.
No, let’s not go there.
A fuller view of my drawing ‘Shroom Trio may be found in the current ‘Mad Majicks’ issue of Emerging Visions e-zine and you’re cordially invited to check out all the Art and Poetry!
June 4, 2011: Decided to upload my entry for World Drawing Day 2011 to my flickr stream.
Title? ‘Fairy Path w Moss Drawing Day 2011′ by jude cowell.
So have you checked out any of the entries yet? A book publishing will result of a selection of today’s uploaded drawings including some childrens’ drawings which is cool. And there’s lots of Art to view in the online gallery linked below.
Well, I do declare that Drawing Day is the largest art project Ever! You can feel it, can’t you?
Electric blue clouds with mysterious origins now appearing more southerly than ever…time for the NLCs.
Space Weather News for June 4, 2011
ELECTRIC-BLUE CLOUDS: The 2011 noctilucent cloud (NLC) season has begun. For the past few nights, observers in northern parts of Europe have spotted velvety, electric-blue tendrils rippling across the sunset sky.
NLCs are a summertime phenomenon first reported by polar observers in the 19th century. In recent decades, for reasons no one fully understands, the clouds have intensified and spread as far south as Utah and Colorado.
Visit today’s edition of Space Weather News for photos and observing tips.
CHANCE OF MAGNETIC ACTIVITY: NOAA forecasters estimate a 45% chance of geomagnetic activity on June 4th when an incoming solar wind stream and a CME might deliver a double blow to Earth’s magnetic field. High-latitude sky watchers in both hemispheres should be alert for auroras.
Hope you’ve checked out today’s global event World Drawing Day 2011! Did you upload an image of your drawing? My entry is titled, ‘Fairy Path w Moss Drawing Day 2011‘.
As always: pencil on paper; by Jude Cowell (coh’ wull) (c)2011
Three Art questions for you: Do you love to draw? Or did you used to love to draw when you were a kid? Have you engaged in drawing or doodling in the last little while?
Then you may wish to check out details about this Saturday’s Drawing Day! The ultimate goal of the project is to gather one million drawings from across the globe with entries posted in an online art gallery. There are several options for how to download your art offering (flickr, Red Bubble, create a YouTube video, and more) with a chance to be published in the Drawing Day book.
So if drawing is your thing, check it out or simply mosey by the Drawing Day website on Saturday and afterwards to see what art has been uploaded!
Plus, on a heavier note, here’s another question: Is the Strauss-Kahn Arrest Linked to Missing US Gold? with notes on today’s Solar Eclipse in Gemini conjoining US natal Uranus 8Gem55 and transiting Midas, that lover and hoarder of gold.
My drawing shown above, A Fairy’s Secret Valley, is the sort of ‘mystical’ pencil illustration (suitable for children) that is often published at Secret Moon Art and I hope you’ll flit by when you can…
Here is one of the weird sort of drawings I perpetrate from time to time: Cosmic Persona in Flux which was originally published at Cosmic Persona Designs (for 17+ only due to mild adult content.)
Now I use the watercolour pencils dry only but naturally they work well with water if you prefer. And do try them on black paper if you haven’t for I think you’ll like the brilliant colors, depth, and special effects which may be achieved.
For 24/7 art browsing you’re cordially invited to mosey by my Zazzle Art Shop.
Or how about taking a moment to view my ‘Cosmic Flowers Art’ Slideshow? You’ll discover that one of my more popular drawings on this blog, ‘Flowers of India’, is included in the floral display!
You may be feeling a little foolish today yet checking out Julie Demboski’s article on the Lunar aspects for April 1, 2011 is the smartest thing to do! Asteroid Juno (The Wife) is active today.
Julie’s post includes an image of a painting by my favorite artist, Paul Cezanne, Pierrot and Harlequin…perfect! Cezanne and I share the same Sun-Moon blend in our natal horoscopes though not artistic skills – Benjamin Franklin does as well and Ben was known for his doodling!
(See below for Cezanne’s birth data.)
Now April 1st always reminds me (and perhaps you) of The Fool card in the Tarot deck, a card of innocence and new beginnings as The Fool begins his mystical journey. Green, the color of growth, is associated with The Fool and with curiosity.
The new light of the Spring 2011 season suffuses this picture with faith in the future, one of the joys of traveling on The Fool’s path of enlightenment. Not overanalyzing things and avoiding malice are preferrable for this new journey and being ‘as a child’ without trying to anticipate events makes the journey an exciting yet Zen-like adventure!
