April 29, 2011 will soon arrive with a royal wedding in tow and having just read an excellent astro-profile of both Prince William and his fiance Kate Middleton, I thought you might be interested.
Written by Alex Miller of Daykeeper Journal, Wills and Kate is full of info on each of them along with links between their natal planets and Black Holes (which Alex specializes in.)
And in case you missed it, you may also wish to check out Prince William’s and Kate’s Wedding Day Astrology Report which uses the positions of Sun (male) and Moon (female) on April 29, 2011 to determine a few of the more prominent facets of their partnership.
With April 29, 2011 the date of Prince William’s and Kate Middleton’s wedding day, I have published as a Page in this blog’s sidebar a Wedding Day Astrology Report concerning the happy couple’s Spring nuptials which will describe some of the basic dynamics of their partnership.
For as you know, Sun and Moon in a horoscope are descriptive of the male (Sun) and female (Moon) principles and the midpoint between the two luminaries indicates ‘marriage.’ Well, it’s two luminaries for certain as their royal wedding day has been declared a public holiday in England with all the attendant trappings of publicity!
Their Wedding Day horoscope is shown on the Page for I thought you might wish to see royal Jupiter conjunct Midheaven, one of the signs of a ruling monarch with Saturn at Mc being the other sign (Queen Elizabeth has Saturn in Scorpio @ Mc.)
Plus, in case you missed it, do check out DarkStar Astrology’s column on the royal couple’s engagement horoscope (announced November 17, 2010) which links you to the natal charts of Prince William (June 21, 1982 9:03 pm BST London) and Kate Middleton (Jan 9, 1982 hour unknown.)
Both Prince William and Kate are 28 years old, the age of one’s Saturn Return when becoming more serious about the future is the required response.
So check the sidebar of Pages or click a direct link to the Wedding Day Astrology Report: Prince William and Kate Middleton and leave your on-topic comments with this post, if you wish.

Well, WikiLeaks’ Julian Assange will be freed on bail today or tomorrow and won’t have to spend Christmas in a Victorain-era prison, and astrologer Julie Demboski takes a look at what’s going on over our noggins today, December 16, 2010, with the Moon leaving Aries behind and happy to be exalted in Taurus. Julie writes on today’s Material Consequences in and from Pacific Time so be sure to catch up with her insightful analysis.
Mercury Rx in early Capricorn continues backing up toward Sagittarius and will be crossing the threshold of ’30Sag’ soon, the “The Pope Blessing the Faithful” degree (and I’m sure he does) as the planet of negotiations, messages, and The Mind leaves Pluto’s Cap neighborhood for a while but soon to reunite.
Today’s Sun Sag-Moon Tau blend is a Fire-Earth ‘scorched earth’ combination of energies which holds entrenched beliefs, has much self-confidence, and exhibits extravagant tastes. It loves pleasant surroundings and familiar faces and is a ‘practical philosopher’ blend that loves to know all the facts and has a tendency to let others pick up the bill…kind of like the richest 2% taking public dole from the new tax cut deal between Mr. Obama and the GOP – which makes the rich richer and the poor poorer.
No kudos for you on this one, Washington, for you’re still up to the same old class warfare tricks so favored by the plutocratic combo of Pluto/Chiron, here in our US oligarchy.
Of course, the transiting Pluto/Chiron midpoint is on the Midheaven Point (Goal) of the Inauguration 2009 horoscope so the Obama-GOP collusion against the disenfranchised is no big surprise here.
Speaking of finances, you may find today’s Images for Integration for Sun Sag-Moon Tau of interest: “A pirate ship searches for gold…An armchair traveller roughs out a financial plan for his next adventure.”
(Sun Sign-Moon Sign, Charles & Suzi Harvey.)
This blend is shared natally by the great John Milton who wrote the following which reminds me of a man sitting in a Victorian-era prison cell:
“A mind not to be changed by place or time.
The mind is its own place, and in itself
Can make a Heaven of Hell, a Hell of Heaven.”
Today is Monday December 13, 2010 and the US is gripped in Winter’s grasp in many regions of our nation with 8 days to go until Winter Solstice 2010. Yes, WordPress’ snowflakes across the page look festive and perfect for the season!
Now no one knows why the muse of bad poetry tends to light rather frequently upon my shoulder. If I could explain it I could probably stop it. But not today for I’m in a holiday mood that begs for snowy expression however minor it may be:
As wintry winds begin to blow
remember Mama told you so
your scarf and mittens are a must
to counter winter’s freezing gust!
And if you have a moment, you’ll find it won’t take a sled but only a simple click to discover my latest science-y/poem-y blog Woolly Mammoth Chronicles where I express in rhyme my personal misgivings about Science’s plan to clone from fossil DNA a long-extinct relic of the Ice Age, the woolly mammoth.
My ‘Odes to a Woolly Mammoth’ are the inexplicable result, plus, Science News links and odd videos are included as well so check it out and answer the woolly mammoth poll, upper right, if you wish to weigh in on the weighty woollie’s proposed return to ‘life’ – or to some Frankensteinian version of it.
Also, your feathers may be ruffled to know that my Political Astrology blog Stars Over Washington was updated this morning concerning the astro-atmosphere on Capitol Hill: this week’s lame duck session is marked by Monday’s Fire-Water combination of The Seeker and The Mystic!
The Winter Solstice 2010 horoscope is there as well: see sidebar for Top Ten SO’W posts which is where you’ll find my December 21, 2010 Lunar Eclipse article with chart image, too.
Hope you keep your feathers dry and warm! jc
After a few days respite for the Thanksgiving Day holiday, I’m back to the salt mines of freebie blogging and putting out a little Political Astrology info for those who may care for Astrology used as a lens through which to view upclose the squirmy varmints of Politics.
Today is my first day back online so I spent it researching and typing a fresh Stars Over Washington post which concerns all the Solar (4) and Lunar (2) Eclipses of 2011 which you may perhaps find interesting.
You’ll discover that an image of the January 2011 Solar Eclipse @ 13Cap38 is shown; images of other 2011 eclipse horoscopes will be added to SO’W as time permits.
Yet what I didn’t mention in my post is info on the Sun-Moon blend of the January 2011 Solar Eclipse and so I shall add its details here.
Obviously, the sign Capricorn is highlighted with its law-government-business vibes; Sun Cap-Moon Cap is an Earth-Earth blend indicating down-to-earth and matter-of-fact influences. Patience, self-discipline, and realism are in evidence with this double helping of the ancient sign of the Mer Goat.
Sun Cap-Moon Cap fears chaos and I think all but the power elite can be said to ‘resemble that remark’ these days – especially given societal and economic conditions and the fact that 2011 will usher in the mysterious and much-touted year ’2012′.
This practical combo of Capricorn energies gives a steadfast, autocratic, self-absorbed, conscientious, ambitious and purposeful demeanor to the start of 2011. There’s a pathological need for authority and security with a deep desire to make oneself immune from attack (as if!); ruler Saturn brings in the fear; meanwhile, professional recognition is sought for one’s wisdom, accomplishments, and status in society.
(As you know, Saturn and Jupiter are our ‘societal planets’.)
The Jan 2011 Solar Eclipse opposes US natal Sun (‘the leader’) so President Obama is front and center, or possibly is ‘eclipsed’ in some way.
A heavy emphasis is placed on material gains/goals and self-advancement during a Capricorn eclipse season yet given the state of the US and global economy, it’s understandable, even necessary.
Well, perhaps the Cap-Cap tendency toward common sense, practicality, and dependability will improve economic matters for the collective since the power elite already have more money than they can waste and spend – other than buying US elections directly now instead of their old-fashioned indirect methods, thanks to SCOTUS’ Citizen’s United decision of January 2010.
“Image for Integration” of the Sun (conscious mind) and Moon (unconscious) energies for the Jan 4, 2011 Solar Eclipse:
“A hoary old grandfather sits in his chair with this grandson on his knee. He gives him a gift for his seventh birthday – a first-edition of Pilgrim’s Progress.”
(Sun Sign-Moon Sign, Charles and Suzi Harvey.)
Update February 11, 2012: by now you’ve heard the sad news of the Perry-Brand divorce. For more details try this.
Original post begins here with no edits so that you may appreciate their marriage’s initial promise, their faith in true love which has not, it seems, carried their marital union up to a second anniversary:
By now you’ve heard the joyous news that pop star Katy Perry and her love, comedian and actor Russell Brand, tied the nuptial knot on Saturday, October 23, 2010, in beautiful and exotic India.
Yet all may not be sweetness and light since some local laws may have been violated and the couple’s wedding celebration could come under investigation (though one might imagine that a hefty fine could be assessed and paid.)
All congrats and best wishes to the happy couple!
Now I have decided not to publish on this blog a Wedding Day Astrology Report for the sidebar’s Pages list. This is because the Perry-Brand ceremony took place on Saturday October 23, 2010, and the Aries/Libra Full Moon perfected at 7:08 am IST in India!
It’s a fairly safe assumption that the two frisky entertainers did not arise early from bed to marry at the Full Moon so they could have a Sun Lib-Moon Aries blend for their partnership, even though Full Moons represent the balancing of two opposites…in a word, relationships.
So when did the Moon and Sun change signs on October 23 and how do the various combinations of energies change their Wedding Day Astrology synergy?
At 12:00 am IST on Oct 23, 2010, the Sun began @ 29Lib15 with the Moon 25Ari53.
The (feminine) Moon reached 00Tau00 at 8:00 am IST w/ Sun 29Lib35; the (masculine) Sun reached 00Sco00:00 at 6:00 pm IST. Therefore, their Sun-Moon blend may be Sun Lib-Moon Ari (unlikely – too early in the day), Sun Lib-Moon Tau, or Sun Sco-Moon Tau.
Sunset is a popular hour to wed and it occurred at 5:47:27 pm IST in Jaipur, India with Sun 29Lib59 (just before entering Scorpio, sign of sex and procreation – is a baby on the way?), and Moon 5Tau04. As you know, the Moon is exalted in Taurus indicating a very sensual nature that adores life’s creature comforts. (Think ‘Bill Clinton’s natal Moon’! Moon = the reigning need, and a Taurus Moon often gives a person the oomph for garnering many lovely possessions and..well, money.)
So here are the Images for Integration for the two combinations along with a smidgeon of extra details for each – and remembering that relationship-oriented Libra is an outgoing, action-oriented Cardinal sign while sexy Scorpio and Taurus are rigid and inflexible Fixed signs which may give stubbornness and/or longevity to their relationship:
Sun Lib-Moon Tau (Air-Earth = innovative, efficient, supportive, scientific, rational): “Newlyweds go on a gourmet tour of Italy for their honeymoon”… (India and the Maldives actually!)…”A lecture on ancient Greek architecture and town planning.”
Home and family are central to the happiness of the Sun Lib-Moon Tau blend for it shows a deep need for affection and harmony. Romantic escapades may abound until the perfect mate is found, then devoted and steadfast love is enjoyed. There is a refined aesthetic sense and an abiding faith in the power of love.
Sun Sco-Moon Tau (Water-Earth = a practical, supportive, and nourishing combo which may temd to view change as threatening; relationships bring out its devotional, domestic, and gentle nature): concern for others, sensuality and self-control; quiet strength and determination; cares deeply about loved ones and may be possessive with an all-or-nothing attitude.
“Images for Integration: Pluto takes Persephone into the Underworld…A celebrated surgeon amasses a fortune…A successful businessman probes the mysteries of life.”
(Sun Sign-Moon Sign, Charles and Suzi Harvey.)
Also in Scorpio: Mercury (vows), Venus (love and affection – but Venus is Rx), and Mars (sex and desire); the Moon is across the horoscope from the Scorpio line-up in also-lusty Taurus.)
Well, to me it seems the Sun Sco-Moon Tau’s ‘Pluto and Persephone’ reference could be an accurate description for the Perry-Brand partnership yet I prefer the Sun Lib-Moon Tau blend for its “newlyweds” reference and its optimistic, romantic, and “abiding faith in the power of love”!
And yet…Mr. Brand does have those intense Scorpio eyes and seems quite a Pluto sort of fellow, doesn’t he? And wealthy Pluto rules the world’s riches which a lovely Taurean Moon can well appreciate.
So what do you think, lone reader? Naturally, if you should run across the actual time of their wedding ceremony – or a reference to ‘sunset’, that sort of thing – I hope you’ll let me know by leaving a comment here and I’ll update this post.
Here’s a link to a previous post concerning the natal chart of Russell Brand.
September 22, 2010 will soon arrive and the Sun will reach 00Lib00:00, what we like to call Autumn Equinox in the Northern Hemisphere.
This year the Moon will be in dreamy Pisces so we’ll have vibes and resonations of Sun Libra-Moon Pisces, an Air-Water combo of energies.
Air-Water together produce an etheral mist as mind blends with emotions and fact with fiction. It’s a romantic, poetic combination but with a shadow side which can become confused as to whether it is thinking something or feeling it.
A seemingly detached viewpoint may actually be tinged with personal bias and that’s how we’ll stagger through the final weeks of the midterm 2010 campaign season with its dueling ads and slogans.
Sun Lib-Moon Pis has a wistful streak, much insight, and a genteel diplomacy; charming and generous, this blend tends to be moodily vacillating, even to the point of inconstancy. Perhaps that’s why pundits will continue having a rather changeable time predicting November’s potential victors.
Meanwhile, my intuition says election results may be quite surprising!
This combination possesses perceptive intellect, a rich imagination, and an impressionable idealism. Actors, psychologists, and detectives benefit from having Sun Libra-Moon Pisces, if they are born with it.
Its ability to work well on behalf of others is great for politicians, too, if that happens to be whom they truthfully represent (as opposed to indulging in out-n-out pocket lining and shilling for special interests.)
Non-judgmental empathy may be the most stellar trait of this blend yet there can be a tendency to identify with too many viewpoints simultaneously and have a lack of conviction, plus, a need for withdrawing inwardly in order to regain one’s confidence.
Sounds like a politician to me!
Image for Integration: The curtain comes down, the actor takes off his mask and, in privacy, looks into his mirror to find himself as a child of six with his imaginary friend.

And how about the whys and wherefores of autumn equinox – what’s up with that?
If you wish to view the horoscope and read its details concerning the next opposition between status quo Saturn and progressive Uranus, perhaps you’ll try today’s post at Stars Over Washington.
The Saturn-Uranus opposition becomes exact on July 26, 2010 – just after the Full Moon of July 25 and both days have flavors of Sun Leo-Moon AQ as detailed below. This is a Fire-Air ‘live wire’ combo of energies indicating abundant ideas and a zeal for persuasion yet may be long-winded and bombastic.
Living at a fast pace and shunning boredom marks Fire-Air so don’t be surprised if people – even you – are on-the-go even more than usual over these two days!
The Sun Leo-Moon AQ blend is one of vivid imagination, idealism, and truthfulness. Extreme individualism is indicated along with friendly, broad-minded, and theatrical vibes.
This can also be a romantic, flamboyant, and chivalrous combination that seeks to see the best in everyone; outrageous plans may surface under this blend, plans which have little practicality to them yet an autocratic ‘rightness’ may be in play.
Beware of inflexibility, intolerance of or from others, and arrogance within your environment.
Images for Integration: The chairman of the board raises his glass to his able colleagues…The king of a large, prosperous empire invites everyone to his wedding.
(‘Sun Sign-Moon Sign’ by Charles & Suzy Harvey.)
Or, a daughter’s wedding? Now that last Image in particular sounds much like former President Bill Clinton at his daughter Chelsea’s wedding which is said to be set for this very time frame at the fabulous Astor Mansion in upstate New York!
Even limelight-hogging father-of-the-bride Bill has said that Chelsea’s wedding is all about her, not him…well, duh!
Have you ever kept a task on your to-do list for so long that it seems unlikely that it will ever get done? If not, I want to come and live at your place. Otherwise, congratulate me, for I’ve finally published a Page on the Wedding Day Astrology of Barack and Ann Dunham Obama. ;p
Scroll down this blog’s sidebar of Pages where you’ll see a list of Wedding Day Astrology Reports I’ve published so far, or simply click here and you’ll be whisked away to the Honolulu, Hawaii of February 2, 1961 where you may snag yourself a few marriage details concerning President Obama’s parents!
Chairman of the Senate Agricultural Committee, Senator Blanche Lincoln was born in Helena, Arkansas on September 30, 1960, birth hour unknown, but since the Moon remained in Aquarius for the entire 24-hour period, we may confidently peek at Lincoln’s Sun Lib/Moon AQ personality blend for a few details – because her “vote is not for sale!”
Air-Air is an intelligent, gracious combination – most reasonable, civilized, and clear-headed; double-Air is never at a loss for words and loves a good debate. (Unfortunately for the senator, America has lost the art of debate – the good news is that we’re only grossly affected by the lack every four years.)
Double Air prefers to soar above in mental realms where idealism abounds; a career in Politics is a good fit for Air-Air. Lincoln likes to step back (another way of saying, detach), take a broader view, and has much faith in the power of ideas. Yet there is a tendency to labor under the illusion that there are such things in this dualistic world as perfect impartiality and total objectivity; a cheerful manner may be in evidence.
Sun Lib/Moon AQ indicates a spirit of cooperation, communication talents, and a friendly manner. A lively sociability and a love of truth and beauty apply, as well as receptivity to others mixed with a wide streak of independence. The supposition here is that all problems can be resolved by reasoned discussion (which may be why she’s a Democrat – I don’t know why she is, I’m just saying it’s traditionally difficult to get Dems to stop talking and move their booties into action.)
Sen. Lincoln’s Sun Lib/Moon AQ knows how people like to be treated and she ‘comes alive’ in social settings; True Love takes priority in relationships so in spite of her intellectual approach to life she may retain a tendency to romanticize people and build Utopian castles in the air.
This blend of energies gives her a natural sense of justice, an openness to new ideas, a social conscience (if years on Capitol Hill haven’t squooshed it out of her), and a forgiving approach toward other people’s foibles.
Yet insisting on rationality at all costs can be a negative while over-emphasizing a laissez-faire attitude may prevent definite answers from being found and choices being made. Impracticality causes ineffectuality.
Sun Lib/Moon AQ’s ‘Images for Integration’: “A group of literary radicals stage a ‘love-in’ to protest against government military policy…In an elegant opera house, a trendy jazz musician performs a rag time with a symphony orchestra.”
Sun Lib/Moon AQ is shared natally an illustrious crew of talents:
George Gershwin, Charles Ives, Aaron Judah, R. D. Laing, John LeCarre, Timothy Leary, and John Lennon, who helpfully penned and sang:
If there’s anything that you want,
if there’s anything I can do,
Just call on me,
And I’ll send it along
with love from me to you.
Hmmm…wonder if Senator Lincoln plays the ukele?
‘Sun Sign-Moon Sign’ by Charles and Suzy Harvey; Noel Tyl adds: “Socio-romantic attractiveness supports innovative social service.”
