Where American now treads? On you and me.
And if you’ve ever read my grousings online, here or @ Stars Over Washington, you may know that I consider America to be ‘my only nag in the race’ in spite of years of propaganda from our illusory ‘two-party system’ of government with its tiresome demonizing of the opposition at every turn…their win-at-any-costs political ideologies have helped sink us lower than kicked puppies under front porches – and are being perpetrated bwo their following of a long-planned NWO design.
Well, here’s an article that focuses on the financial crisis and then some, while it details more of what’s really issuing out of Washington than the average Democrat, Republican, tea partier, or militia woman cares to face or admit. To do so, one must put the ‘Ds vs Rs’ myth to rest where it belongs, and scoff at political shills like Sarah Palin as she attempts to whip up frantic support for a GOP sworn to undermine President Barack Obama (and America with him, if that’s what it takes. Besides, it’s NWO string-pullers who ultimately decide who will be US president, not Sarah Pallin worshipers, or other voters.)
Yet facing our demons so they can be identified and vanquished is all that will avail us during these difficult times. So if Washington politicians won’t take part in honest discussions about our problems (and from experience we know they won’t), then it’s up to us to uncover for ourselves and deal with the underbelly of greedy power-grabbing and deceit we’ve been scammed by through the decades.
Soul-searching after Senator Edward Kennedy’s Passing…
One thing you may as well know: I had friends who served, and friends who dodged the draft, during the Vietnam War, an abomination on par with the Bush-Cheney ‘Cakewalk’ invasion of Iraq 2003 to __?__.
My belief is that President Obama’s expansion of US troops into Afghanistan, Pakistan (and wherever else the zionists take him) is a mistaken course. For one thing, true success doesn’t come when a vengeful spirit is indulged. Such ‘success’ is only temporary for it is not based on permanent values upon which the Universe hinges (Love is the Foundation.)
Senator Kennedy’s passing last evening has me thinking about how I was once prouder to be an American than I’ve been able to be in the last several years of ‘rule’ by the zealous emotional robots who bedevil us to this day and beyond.
And if I never get to feel proud of America again, so be it, I’ll just have to deal.
But do one favor for me please? If you haven’t yet, read this one article: Thugs of Fortune, posted by Jeff Huber.
The Kennedy Family has set up a site where you may honor the senator and share your memories, if you wish.
Senator Edward Kennedy

Who will roar for the underdogs now?
Among other things, the slowness of the Obama stimulus package’s implementation and good effects may be attributed to the Void-of-Course Moon at a crisis-ridden, impatient 29th degree of Scorpio on Jan 20, 2009.
Most common folk know that the wrong end of the street was ‘bailed out’ which is leading to a leaden feeling in the bottom of checking accounts all over the country.
So it’s no big surprise that greed for outsized returns on investments is gumming up the works on the bank capitalization front as we await the start of the lending (the sharing of our own money with us!) to begin.
VOC Moons indicate that things won’t work out as planned or will have unexpected results if they do.
It may even be considered ‘too late’ for actions to make much if any difference (late Scorpio) by the people (Moon), highlighting the sheep being at the mercy of the wolves, in this political case.
There may even be something sinister about the situation especially at ’29 degrees’ of ‘Scorpio’ a sign of Fixed (rigid) energy.
And there’s the next degree after Scorpio ends, ’1 Sagittarius’…the “A Grand Army of the Republic Campfire” degree which tells me that Uncle Sam Wants YOU, the unemployed.
Yet if bailed out banks chose to act as if they understood from whom the gifted billions cameth, would they then lend out said money to the very people who would actually put loaned funds to good use thereby stimulating the economy?
Like a micro-loan, loanees would be idiots not to pay up on a fairly written and negotiated loan based on real income. This assumes that banks will begin to settle for returns on paid-off deals rather than outrageous profits issuing in part from thin and fraudulent air.
How beggared do rich aristos and their minions have to make the populations of each nation before we say, that’s my money, hands off. You’ve got yours and then some. In fact, you’ve got a piece of every action, oh global crime syndicates now joining forces more than ever before.
(Okay, I confess – that’s what I saw this week when Presidents Obama and Medvedev shook hands – crime syndicates putting aside their petty differences long enough to embrace joint achievement – and underneath an Apollo sun-god sunburst symbol, too! So I ask myself: why would Russia want the US to be successful in Afghanistan after the Soviet army’s humiliating defeat years ago? Charity? Kindness of their hearts? Puh!)
Well, if you or someone you love have paid taxes in the US any of these last decades, you must know that you’ve paid for war, more war, building of a worldwide network (system) of military bases in order to police the world.
Of course you know that!
So I figure the global power players must have most of the gold and other commodities all saved up since they don’t need our tax dollars much longer (massive unemployment numbers; devalued dollar.)
The starvation of city and state governments is part of the charade, too. Break ‘em down after the coffers are pilfered, trickle in fewer taxes due to unemployment and lack of retail sales, and you won’t long need a state coffer. And of course – you simply can’t do Anything for the people because you’re broke.
Then sell the emptied coffer for its metal content and we’ll all enter Utopia together where it’s pass the loincloths, hold the civilization – centralization rules!
For as Barry Goldwater once said, “A government that is big enough to give you all you want is big enough to take it all away.”
Senator Goldwater’s pronouncement was meant as a warning to a more sinister extent that a majority of we Americans ever believed about ‘our’ government, touted as the fairest in the world and the best the world has ever known.
Which tells you how others through the centuries have sucked.
So that’s what they’re in process of doing now with bail outs for the rich who then socialize their costs and losses and stick us with the bill.
They’re beggaring America.
It’s become more common than ever in these R v D days that voicing a varying opinion on America and her direction garners you little but critics.
Here Dave Schechter discusses the phenomenon of having one’s patriotism questioned when you aren’t going along with society’s popular views of the moment.
In recent days I’ve noticed a tendency of certain partisans and their political gurus of failing to remember the emotional days just after the attacks of 9/11 and how ‘patriotism’ and its supposed lack was used to browbeat House and Senate members into voting for the rush to war, as the ploy silenced their loudest critics.
But if they didn’t realize it then, most Americans now see how wrong and cynical this tactic was with the goose-stepping House proceedings televised on C-SPAN – put on display in order to get the public onboard the war wagon for we Americans have to feel a larger cause is at stake before we trouble the waters and bomb the children of other nations.
Our emotions must be highly stirred and shaken to get us to march away to foreign lands, a fact politicians have understood and used for decades.
There, I said it. Dissenting me blabs aloud again – in honor of our Independence Day’s highly valued intent, if not its usual practice.
“You’re not supposed to be so blind with patriotism that you can’t face reality. Wrong is wrong no matter who does it or says it.” Malcolm X
“We must not confuse dissent with disloyalty. When the loyal opposition dies, I think the soul of America dies with it.” Edward R. Murrow
No dissent on their intent here. Happy Independence Day, my America!
Now that the question of rape has entered the debate on releasing or not releasing more Abu Ghraib photos, perhaps it’s beyond time to ask as Paul Craig Roberts does here: Does America Have a Moral Conscience?
Personally, it’s beyond me how the ACLU or anyone else can think it’s a grand idea to enflame internet channels further with such images of shame (and the shame is on All Sides.)
Releasing more photos seems beyond daft to me, and it’s a waste of time (or a political diversionary tactic perhaps designed to harm a Democratic administration – or vice versa!) to debate it or to wring hands over why the president first said, Yes, now he says No.
Yes, the condition and the ideals of America have certainly devolved in many ways in recent decades, and you may find these brief quotes from Montesquieu, Mencken, and Jefferson worthy of your consideration.
An actor on one of my favorite comedy shows ’30 Rock’, Alec Baldwin, has been expressing his views for some time over at Huffington Post.
Below is a link to one from Friday Feb 6 in which Mr. Baldwin calls for Tim Geithner’s resignation from the Treasurey Dept, demands that Hank Paulson’s use of TARP money be investigated and that he be prosecuted for fraud, and sends a message to John McCain to ‘shut up’ – his political career is over.
Whew! that’s a lot of direction from an actor, isn’t it?
Born in Massapequa, New York on April 3, 1958, Alec Baldwin would have had to be born between midnight and 12:54 am est on that date to have natal Moon in Earthy, modest Virgo. So I suspect his natal Moon sign is Airy Libra, don’t you?
Now I half expected to see a planet or two out-of-bounds in his natal chart given the actor’s extreme professional success and his rather brazenly expressed views, but not so.
There is an interesting midpoint picture (not dependent on an exact birth time) relating to society (Jupiter and Saturn) and power (Pluto)
Saturn-Pluto = Jupiter (28Lib26 Rx): religious or social fanaticism; plainness and simplicity.
Plus, natal retrograde Jupiter is a ‘maverick’ signature – and he does express himself in gung-ho fashion.
Mr. Baldwin’s planetary combo of Jupiter and Neptune, who together make up the ‘speculator duo’ is on his Nodal axis…
Jupiter-Neptune = NN: associations with swindlers and speculators; placing false hopes on ones associations.
And perhaps his Sun-Moon blend is of interest…
Sun Ari-Moon Lib: independence vs dependence; head vs heart; ebullient sociability and charming hospitality; idealism and hopefulness; capacity to inspire optimism; artistic imagination and talents; naturally romantic and devoted in heroic proportions; chivalrous; an almost childlike desire for social involvement; eager for life.
Negatives may include: tendency to think great guns then peter out; letting frustration eat up confidence; need for appreciation can fuel vanity rather than creativity; vacillation; resting on laurels when new strides should be made.
‘Image for Integration: A conductor leads an orchestra with passionate conviction and a vibrant, pulsating organism of musical perfection is created to the ecstatic uplifting of the audience.’ (‘Sun Sign-Moon Sign’ by Chas & Suzi Harvey.)
This Sun-Moon blend is shared by several other entertainers:
Pearl Bailey, Jean Paul Belmondo, Richard Chamberlain, Shirley Jones, Julian Lennon, Simone Signoret, Gloria Swanson, and Jack Webb (‘Dragnet’.)
Also with Sun Ari-Moon Lib: Wilbur Wright of Wright Bros fame, and essayist-journalist William Hazlitt, who said so aptly that:
“The love of freedom is the love of others; the love of power is the love of ourselves.”
You’d think America – and Washington DC – had that down by now.
Check out Alec Baldwin’s post here:
The more people lining up for their daily bowl of soup, the more I think of the presidency of George W. Bush.
Heads-up to an observant reader who noticed that I never put the title ‘President’ in front of Bush’s name – never have, never will. A ‘Mr” I’ll grant him but nothing more exalted. Most men who have inhabited the Oval Office have risen to the title, President of the United States of America.
But there is One who has lowered America’s standing in the world as he beggared her citizens.
Even now he’s busy justifying himself to…himself, no doubt. With me he’d have a harsher critic than his mirror if he cared to ask. He doesn’t, but if he did.
And since I knew I’d been grousing about such distressing matters as the dwindling economy, the wastefulness of the Bush administration, foreclosures, and hunger for quite a while, I set about finding certain SO’W posts for you – some containing links to articles (by writers who actually know what they’re doing), some with links to other posts with or without astrological observations involved.
It’s a mixed bag, especially because you’ll discover that there are couple of cross links between posts, but that’s how the blogging goes.
My criteria was the search term, Souplines across America, starting with January 2006:
Yes, the plutocratic, overbearing Pluto-Chiron duo is wallowing in its richest element now, isn’t it? And renting our social fabric into tatters.
So tell me – did I overstate the case in the above posts? Were my comments about souplines offensive to proud Americans?
Be that as it may, if you do nothing else, be sure to look for a link to FDR’s ‘test of our progress’ …it’s a dilly when placed next to Bush’s lack of empathy for his fellow man.
This morning I was surprised with an interruption by ABC News breaking in with a Special Report and there on the steps of the Treasury Department building stood George Bush and Hank Paulson making a statement to the press. Bush and Paulson playing together on the Treasury steps!
Well, Bush was speaking and Paulson had his back, one supposes.
The Special Report appeared at 10:37 am est and missed the precise beginning of the statement so I caught Bush in mid-sentence. It was brief all the same, and as I peeked at an Astrology chart for Treasury (thanks, Solar Fire software!) I saw that at 10:30 am est, rising was 18Cap46 – the ’18Cap’ I often bark about as the NWO’s natal Uranus/Neptune conjunction degree of 1993.
I won’t bore you here with its Sabian Symbol in full, except to say that its keyword is POLITICAL POWER and that it relates to keeping order. I’m sure the Bush-Paulson performance this morning hoped to do just that as Bush announced he was rescuing, bailing out, or, as he put it: “safeguarding” CitiGroup.
He also said defensively with his voice rising that they had made these decisions in the past and would do so again. (So shut up, American taxpayers. You have no say in the matter. And apparently Barack Obama, who was told of this rescue, Bush said, can take it or lump it.)
Anyway, with Sun (leader) 2Sag44 and Mercury (announcements; speeches) 2Sag08, the Sabian Symbol for ’3Sag’ is informative:
Quoting from Rudhyar’s ‘An Astrological Mandala’…’Two Men Playing Chess”…”keynote: The transcendent ritualization of conflict.
Essential to sociocultural living is the transmutation of man’s natural aggressiveness under most conditions of existence. Many rituals, sports, and games have no other basic aim. In chess the complex types of energies which in their togetherness constitute a human person are symbolized by six kinds of pieces (king, queen, bishops, knights, rooks, and pawns.)
The struggle between light and darkness (the Yin and Yang forces) is ritualized, ending in most cases with the checkmating of the king (the ego, the conscious self.) In a dualistic world such a contest between polarized forces is omnipresent.
The chess game trains men to be more objective, more careful, more aware of whole situations – and less impulsive and intent upon side issues.
This Symbol deals with conflict, but at the level of group culture and psychological symbolization. It brings to the objective consciousness the basic realities in interpersonal INTERPLAY.”
Marc Edmund Jones gives this Symbol with the same word picture but explains it as:
“Self confidence and authority which come to man through his refinement of skills and discipline of understanding, and of his capacity for mobilizing every potentiality of self at any point of challenge in events.
Here is emphasis on the individual’s effectiveness and profitable participation in a reality which he has been able to approach and master through the completeness of his perspective. His gift of concentration is his genius of self-fulfillment.
The keyword is: ABILITY…
positive: high sensitiveness to every possibility of accomplishment or broadened self-discovery;
neg/unconscious/shadow side: unsuspected bigotry or foolish exactitude.”
(The ‘unconscious/shadow side’ are my additions.)
Interesting that the Illumination Point – the opposite degree – has for a keyword: LUXURY. Its unconscious/shadow side is: “complete selfishness and a joy in lording it over others.”
On a side note: did you know Bush has pardoned more turkeys while at the White House than he’s pardoned men during his terms? And they’ve been bootleggers! But I suppose there’s still time for Scooter and Alaska’s Ted.
Now I do want to add the effect of the NWO’s Uranus-Neptune degree as it rises with a midpoint picture:
Ura-Nep = ASC: wearing anxieties on one’s sleeve; a person who is easily influenced; instability; hypersensitivity; depression.
Depression? Well, we do hear a lot now about a “crisis in confidence” which is a large part of America’s economic problems. But they never address fully the fact that our lack of confidence is due in large part to a criminality of leadership – in Washington, on Wall Street, in corporations, and in commercial and investment banks and insurance companies the world over.
And you know the crooked fatcats and their enablers won’t be stepping down any time soon - in spite of any hastily called press statements of ‘rescue on the way’ from the steps of the US Treasury.
So there he was this morning – George W. Bush, near the end of a long eight-year presidency, presiding over the Treasury steps with a ‘Master of the Universe’ as his sidekick, more lies on his lips, and the surplus his presidency began with only a distant memory.
George Washington has a few other ideas about what the government could do for CitiBank/Group on his Blog:
